Full Moon in Taurus, October 24, 2018
Full Moon today at 1 degree Taurus. Uranus (retrograde, 0 deg Taurus) conjuncts the Moon. The opposing Sun in Scorpio is also conjunct Venus (retrograde, 4 deg Scorpio). We are reevaluating our past, shaking out and purging what does not match our present reality. What we value is changing or simply becoming more honest with our present selves. Relationships can have unexpected turns, intriguing sparks of creativity can come out of nowhere, and people and situations can literally just pop in and/or disappear from your reality. The North Node in Leo and South Node in Aquarius (1 deg) are also squaring the Taurus/Scorpio opposition, creating a Fixed Sign Grand Cross. The Fixed Signs are the anchor of the zodiac and can bring a feeling of pause and mindfulness to check in with ourselves. It can also create a feeling of not wanting to move on and let go. In my personal Uranian moment, I thought of The Wizard of Oz/The Wiz. All characters representing each of the elements of the Fixed Signs: The Scarecrow [Aquarius/Air], The Tin Man [Scorpio/Water],The Lion [Leo/Fire], and Dorothy [Taurus/Earth]. We’ve been traveling through Oz, whether conscious of it or not. Though, I think many of us can agree that the world feels like rightside up has been turned upside down for the last few years at least. But things are shifting still, as always. Who you are, your unique perspective and sovereignty, your own values and emotional intelligence, wants to take root with the new cycles approaching. The Nodes will be moving into Cancer (North Node) and Capricorn (South Node) on November 6/7th, along with Jupiter leaving Scorpio and going into its home sign of Sagittarius on November 9th. Take time now to get some foothold in the present moment, your present self, your present surroundings. Energy is always transforming, currents changing, but the Universe really wants you to pay attention and understand you can navigate your personal vessel--you, through this Oz-like landscape. “The power is always within you, my Dear”. But you’re not going back to the Kansas (the mundane) that you always thought existed, it will be different because you are. Photo: The Wiz (1978)
